About Anglo American Pools

Independent editorial guides for pool construction, covers and equipment. Not a contractor and not affiliated with similarly named pool businesses.

Anglo American Pools is an independent editorial resource covering pool construction, automatic pool covers, pool equipment systems, commercial pool planning and project procurement.

This website publishes specification-led guides. It is not a pool contractor, installer, retailer or service company, and it does not bid, build or maintain pools.

Not the contractor or the dissolved company

The name “Anglo American Pools” also appears on older business records that are not this publication:

  • A Nevada corporation filed as Anglo American Pools that has been dissolved;
  • Anglo American Pool and Spa, a California contractor listing associated with Torrance-area records and inactive contractor licenses.

Those entities are not this site. We do not inherit their licenses, project photos, client lists or contact numbers. If you are looking for a local installer, a repair visit or a licensed contractor in Nevada or California, this is not that business. Use a licensed contractor in the project jurisdiction.

We keep sameAs empty until this publication has official profiles that can be verified. Do not treat similarly named social or directory listings as ours.

Our mission

We publish practical, specification-led guidance that helps people plan, specify and evaluate swimming pool systems before they commit to contracts, equipment purchases or construction decisions.

Our content distinguishes three things explicitly:

  • Documented product capabilities: what manufacturers publish in data sheets, installation manuals and technical literature;
  • General engineering principles: hydraulics, water treatment and safety fundamentals supported by published standards;
  • Project-specific considerations: decisions that depend on your site, climate, budget and regulations, and which require a qualified designer, engineer or contractor.

  • Pool contractors and builders coordinating construction, equipment packages and cover integration;
  • Pool designers and consultants planning equipment rooms, plumbing and cover tracks;
  • Hotels, resorts, developers and facility managers operating commercial pools;
  • Distributors and dealers comparing product specifications;
  • Property owners who want to understand pool structure, equipment and safety systems before signing a contract.

What we do not do

  • We do not provide local installation, repair or maintenance services;
  • We do not present general information as project engineering or a substitute for local codes;
  • We do not fabricate testing, project experience or credentials;
  • We do not sell a branded equipment line or operate a showroom.

How to use the site

Start with the pool planning hub for a new build, the renovation hub for an existing shell, or the automatic pool cover guide when a cover is in scope. Commercial operators should begin at hotel and resort pool planning. Buyers comparing quotes can use the RFQ guide and the RFQ template.
