Editorial Policy
How Anglo American Pools researches, verifies, discloses and updates its pool construction, cover and equipment guidance.
This policy describes how content on Anglo American Pools is researched, written, reviewed and corrected.
Source priority
When we make factual or technical claims, we rely on sources in this order:
- Published standards and safety documents (for example ASTM F1346 for pool cover safety performance, and applicable pool and spa codes);
- Manufacturer data sheets, installation manuals and official technical documentation;
- Government and public-agency safety materials;
- Verifiable dealer, installer and industry technical documentation.
Key sources are listed visibly on each guide. We do not cite sources we have not opened and checked.
How product information is verified
Product-related pages are specification analysis and buyer’s guidance, not hands-on reviews. When we have not physically tested a product, the page says so. We do not publish invented test results, star ratings or performance claims that cannot be traced to documentation.
Commercial relationship disclosure
Anglo American Pools is editorially independent. Where a guide links to a commercial supplier — including project-supply resources such as Pool Project Supply — the link exists because it is relevant to the reader’s task, and the relationship is disclosed here. We do not accept payment for altering technical conclusions.
AI assistance
Some content is drafted with AI assistance and then reviewed by the editorial team. Every page discloses its content method in the page footer. AI assistance never replaces source verification: editors check claims against the listed sources, remove anything that cannot be supported, and are responsible for the published result.
Updates and corrections
- Publication and substantive-update dates are shown on every guide. We do not change update dates without substantive changes.
- Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are verified. See the corrections page to report one.
What we will not publish
- Fabricated project experience, installation counts or client claims;
- Invented credentials or licensure;
- Local service pages for locations where no verifiable service exists;
- Content whose only purpose is search-engine manipulation.
